Don't let blood pressure treatment defeat you. It's always a hard task to deal with the problem of living with high BP but it's a task you can handle if you work at it in a logical way. Good BP control means that you need to look at your medications, at your food intake and food choices - and also, of course at your stress levels.

There are several different approaches to controlling blood pressure more effectively.

Lets start with lifestyle. Doctors have researched this area in great depth and have found that there are several aspects of our lives that impact dramatically on our blood pressure levels.

Diet is very important. About a third of those with high blood pressure are very sensitive to salt intake. Even in those who are not overly sensitive too it, added salt will increase blood pressure levels by about ten points on the scale. If you are salt sensitive then the difference is about three times that. Many people who take blood pressure tablets every day would be able to stop or reduce them if they reduced their salt intake.

Fat content in the diet also makes a difference. A diet too high in fat will also cause the blood pressure levels to rise - reduce the fat and reduce your blood pressure. Aim for low fat choices in all of your eating and you should see a significant difference quickly.

Body weight is vital. You can expect a rise of ten points on the BP scale for every ten pounds of weight gain - and the opposite too of course if you reduce your weight. Losing twenty pounds in weight could see you back into the normal BP range very quickly. Now, lets face it, losing weight is never easy - but coping with the side effects of blood pressure medication is not easy either and I guess it's all a choice when push comes to shove.

And finally - don't forget the options open to you when it comes to natural blood pressure remedies and supplements. Several herbal products have a good track record for blood pressure control. Garlic works well - and so does hawthorn berry extract. Take a look at these options because they can make a real difference.

You know what you need to do to improve your blood pressure - so why not get started today?

What is blood pressure? It is the pressure that blood exerts on the walls of our blood vessels. Systolic blood pressure is measured when the heart contracts and diastolic blood pressure is measured when the heart relaxes. These readings can be recorded on a monitor. When these readings go beyond a certain range, it spells danger. There are hardly any symptoms which indicate high or low blood pressure. In fact, high blood pressure or hypertension is called `the silent killer'.

Hence, it is imperative for everyone to monitor them regularly. This can be done by visiting a medical practitioner or at home also. Blood pressure kits are a revolution in this direction. Studies have indicated that it is wiser to measure it at home with a kit than to get it measured by a doctor in his clinic. Results are more accurate and trust-worthy.

However, blood pressure kits need to be tested for accuracy from time to time. This can be done by comparing the readings between ones own kit and one taken by a regular doctor at his clinic. The two readings must nearly be the same.

The device which measures blood pressure is called a sphygmomanometer. A cuff is wrapped around the arm and tightened by means of a pump. A stethoscope is placed on the artery near the elbow. The air pressure is then released. When the blood first gushes through the blood vessels gives the systolic reading. Diastolic reading is taken when the pulse stops. The acceptable reading on the blood pressure kit is 120/80.

There are a variety of kits to choose from in the market. They vary in design, utility and price. Some kits are manual while others are auto inflated. Depending on the technology used, the features that blood pressure kits offer are:

* Irregular heart beat feature
* Pressure rating feature
* A multiple number of memory readings
* Average reading feature
* Blood pressure classification
* Body fat percentage and BMI
* Time and date feature
* Alarm clock and thermometer
* Excessive motion detection

Most kits measure blood pressure from the arm while some are used on the wrist and a few on the finger. Doctors suggest using the arm type kit as the readings are more dependable. It is as if proximity to the heart gives a better result. Finger type kits are totally discarded now as they showed inaccurate readings. Again, a higher price does not necessarily mean a better product. Research shows that cheaper models of blood pressure kits give more accurate results.

In recent times, man has been drawn towards astrology. This has led to innovations in astrological medicine and treatment. A Rudraksha blood pressure kit has been developed which claims to control blood pressure quite efficiently. However, it lacks medical confirmation.

The Rudraksha kit consists of two Rudraksha beads and a bloodstone pendant embedded in silver. The beads have to be soaked overnight in water. This water is to be consumed in the morning on an empty stomach. The bloodstone pendant is to be worn around the neck in such a manner that the bloodstone remains in the area of the heart. Blood pressure is expected to stabilize within a few days.

If we pay attention to the growing number of deaths due to hypertension, then purchase of a blood pressure kit becomes a must for one and all. However care must be taken to buy the proper and accurate blood pressure kit.

There is a larger interest nowadays in the consumption of natural therapies for high blood pressure. More and more individuals today look to them as an alternative to modern medications or drugs. The problems of drug unwanted effects and the notion of getting ongoing medication won't appeal to the majority of individuals and there's a real move towards more organic alternatives.

If you have high blood pressure then it is with you for a lifetime - if you don't make a plan to alter your lifestyle or unless you can find the trigger factors in your diet or within the way you live your life. If you require to commence treatment from your medical professional then you definitely really are looking at taking the drugs for the rest of your own life. It's tough to come off them again. Hypertension or high BP isn't some thing that you simply recover from - once it is there then it is there to stay for most of us. That's 1 of the main reasons that diet remedies and herbal choices are becoming more well-liked.

Most physicians will look to treat your high BP levels by giving you drugs - frequently two or three various pills each day. This combination approach to sorting things out is designed to improve the readings without imparting too many unwanted effects. In previous times the method was to give 1 kind of tablet and push it towards the limits of its dose prior to attempting some thing else. This almost usually generated unpleasant unfavorable effects from the drugs.

In herbal treatment choices the technique is generally to begin by looking at diet regime and lifestyle and making modifications there before adding in food changes towards the diet plan or taking supplements by mouth. The supplements are usually a combination of herbs in capsule form - although sometimes only 1 herb is used at a time. Some people take the treatment in the form of herbal tea or tissanes. In general you will find no unwanted effects associated with the natural remedies obtainable, even though some people do respond badly at certain times, and there have been several reports of herbal solutions interfering with other healthcare remedies and approved drugs.

In relation to food stuffs it is probably fair to say that garlic is the most widely used alternative for bringing down blood pressure readings. Garlic continues to be recognised for centuries as having advantages to the cardiac and blood vessel systems. Several modern exploration projects show that garlic can decrease hypertension levels. Onion extract or onion juice gets the same impact and within the last 10 years or so focus has also turned towards the benefits of Lycopenes - substances extracted from the skins of particular red fruits - especially tomatoes.

The herbs used for BP remedy consist of hawthorn berry, nutmeg, cardamon and cinammon. Most of these probably work by taking extra fluid off the body. This is also known as having a diuretic or water removing effect. In Indian or Ayurvedic medicine you will find a range of other herbs used and the same is true in Traditional Chinese Medicine remedies.

As for that diet side of things - you may need to aim for very low salt or sodium intake coupled to a deliberate attempt to eat more fresh fruit and more raw vegetables.

Family doctor Gordon Cameron maintains a life long fascination with high blood pressure treatment and in the use of natural blood pressure treatments

Hypertension is a silent killer. Mental and physical pressures raise psychological tensions that affect increases of adrenaline in the blood stream and cause the pressure of the blood to rise. High blood pressure caused by narrowing of the small blood vessels, known as capillaries, throughout the body. This narrowing makes heart hard to pump blood through the blood vessels. Hence, the pressure of the heart is will rise along with the heart attempt to pump the blood through these vessels.

Blood pressure is measured with sphygmomanometer in millimeters of mercury. The highest pressure reached during each heart beat is called systolic pressure and the lowest between the two beats is known as diastolic pressure. The first gives the pressure of the contraction of the heart as it pushes the blood on its journey through the body and indicates the activity of the heart. The second represents the pressure present in the artery when the heart is relaxed and shows the condition of the blood vessels.

The blood pressure level considered normal is 120/70, but may go up to 140 /90 and still be normal. Within this range, the lower the reading, the better. Blood pressure between 140/90 and 160/95 is considered border line area. From 160/96 to 180/114, it is classed as moderate high blood pressure, while 180/115 and upward is considered severe.

Symptoms The first symptoms are pain toward the back of the head and neck on waking in the morning, which soon disappears. Other symptoms includes dizziness, aches and pains in the arms, shoulder region, leg, back, etc., palpitations, pain in the heart region, frequent urination, nervous tension and fatigue, crossness, emotional upset, tiredness and wakefulness.

People with high blood pressure cannot do any serious work, feels tired and out of sorts all the time. He may experience difficulty in breathing and suffer from dyspepsia. Hypertension, if not eliminated, may cause heart attacks or strokes.

Causes Main causes of hypertension are stress and unhealthy life style. Smoking and an excessive intake of intoxicants, tea, coffee, cola drinks, refined foods, are a few example of unhealthy life style. Hardening of the arteries, obesity, diabetes and severe constipation also lead to hypertension. Other causes of high blood pressure are excessive intake of pain killers, common table salt, food allergies and eating a high fat, low fiber diet, processed foods deficient in essential nutrients.

Natural Cures Hypertension cure should starts with a well-balanced routine diet, exercise and rest. Diet is of primary importance. Meat and eggs should be avoided because it makes the blood pressure to rise more than any other food. Higher fruit content, fresh fruits, vegetables, lower protein and non-flesh diet are important to lowered blood pressure.

Indian gooseberry (amla) is an effective natural cures for hypertension. A tablespoonful each of fresh amla juice and honey mixed together should be taken every morning in this condition.

Hypertension had killed many people throughout the world. If you want to avoid this hypertension and not getting worry about the drugs side effect, then you should check out blog about Natural cures for Hypertension and try to check the article about Hypertension cure in the blog.

Blood pressure is calculated to measure the pressure of the blood against the walls of your arteries. It measures the amount of blood pumped by the heart and the amount of resistance to the flow of the blood. If you have high blood pressure, the heart is working too hard against arteries too narrow. Exactly what numbers signify high blood pressure have changed over the years, and sometimes vary depending on who is being the authority.

Often there are no symptoms for high blood pressure. People often don't know they have this situation. But every time you go to a doctor, the nurse will check your blood pressure. Certainly any doctor would let you know if it is high.

The reason high blood pressure can be dangerous is because it increases risk of serious health problems such as heart attack and stroke and will cause damage in the body, especially to kidneys. So doctors want that blood pressure brought down to a normal level.

What causes high blood pressure? There can be different causes or no apparent cause. Some obvious things increase blood pressure such as smoking or being overweight.

Conventional medicine prescribes drugs to control high blood pressure. There are a myriad of different drugs that can be used, and combinations of drugs. Although the drugs are often effective in lowering blood pressure, they come with side effects. More drugs are prescribed to handle the side effects, and a patient finds himself on a dwindling spiral.

Alternative medicine turns to diet and supplements to handle high blood pressure, and these things can be very effective, and have no side effects. A combination of Coenzyme Q-10, L caritine and D-Ribose have been particularly effective in lowering blood pressure. Hundreds of studies have been done showing these and other natural supplements to bring about desirable results.

Chelation therapy has also had great success in lowering blood pressure and is a mainstay for that purpose with doctors who know alternative medicine. It can lower blood pressure and reduce risk of stroke and heart attack, all with little or no side effects. And it relieves the patient from the necessity of taking drugs the rest of his life. Chelation involves giving the patient a potent antioxidant that actually clears toxins out of the body, including the plaque that builds up in arteries and makes them brittle and narrow. It has been effectively used since the 1940's and can bring about results without drugs.

In this article, I'm going to appeal to your common sense. I beg you to be open minded and not swallow raw, everything the medical business is feeding you.

What do I mean by that?

It's simple. What is the first point, any official health site, discussing high blood pressure, tries to pressure?

Their task is to brain wash you that the only possible approach to lower hypertension is to use prescription medications. They may quickly mention other things you can do in combination with drugs. But the main focus is on medications.

And like it wasn't enough to be put on medication. They also claim, you'll have to be on these medication ( and suffer all the side effects) for the rest of your life.

And the cause for high blood pressure, in their opinion is...

No. 1 ... They don't know

No. 2 ... Genetic reasons

No. 3 ... Connection to other diseases

And one more time, the treatment...

DRUGS, DRUGS, and again DRUGS!

Even the doctors themselves admit that most often they don't know what's causing the high blood pressure. But they refuse to look at any other method than using drugs.

But if you apply your common sense, you'll see in a second what really causes high blood pressure.

You've probably been in a situation where your blood pressure ski-rocket, haven't you? Wasn't it a very stressful situation you were dealing with when it happened?

Your body was actually reacting to the situation in a very functional way, when it raised your pressure. You see, when you're faced with danger or stress, your body goes into fight and flight mood.

This is a mechanism, responsible for saving the lives of your forefathers. It was (and still is) essential to be able to run away from or fight predators. When you reach flight or fight mood, your muscles get tense and your blood pressure roars.

Think about how different the modern world is from the world of our forefathers. We're surrounded by predators every day, without really knowing if we're in danger or not. There are literally thousands of people walking around us, we don't know. Maybe murderous or something worse.

Like that wasn't enough. We've the pressure of keeping our standard in the society. And the dread of failing. Worries about money is probably the biggest stress factor known. Money dread kills more people than anything else I know about.

I only take "life standard dread" as an example. Any pressure you're stressed about, raises your blood pressure. These nagging worries just won't let us alone.

So what can you do? There is very limited chance to drastically change the world. But you can take a few minutes brake!

And it's actually quite easy. Giving your mind a few minutes focused brake is all it needs to recover. Your blood pressure drops drastically during these few minutes and stays down for a long time after wards. You'll feel relax and happy.

Within a week, most people who practice my exercises are back to a normal blood pressure. They're totally off medications and never have to suffer from the side effects again.

You can experience the same in only a few days.

I recently had dinner with some good friends and noticed that "Jane" was drinking red wine. At first I thought it was a joke, as Jane had more than once complained that she did not like the taste of red wine and in fact, preferred white wine.

Jane told me that she'd recently read that drinking red wine is beneficial to one's health, specifically, the heart.

This was not news to me. I've known for years that research has proven some health benefits to drinking red wine in moderation. By moderation, I mean one glass per day for women and two per day for men.

Studies involving Mediterranean countries showed that even though those in the study ate diets high in fat, they tended to have low LDL (bad) cholesterol, and high levels of HDL (good) cholesterol. In addition, they reported lower blood pressure. The common link in the studies was that all of the participants drank red wine (in moderation) on a regular basis.

Researchers think that 2 antioxidants, resveratrol and flavonoids, found in the seeds and skin of red wine grapes and also used in the fermentation process are what are responsible for this.

Resveratrol is thought to be responsible for raising HDL cholesterol, and this in turn helps prevent blood clots. Flavonoids also help prevent blood clots but also help to prevent plaque from forming in the arteries.

New research, though, has found that white wine and other types of alcohol are showing similar results. One particular study even indicated that white wine is more beneficial for health than red because the molecules in white wine are smaller and are more easily absorbed.

While I'm always interested whenever studies show promising health benefits from traditionally bad habits like alcohol consumption, but I also tend to take it with a grain of salt. Just how beneficial are these "health benefits" compared to the ill effects?

In every study, researchers are quick to point out that only drinking in moderation will produce any health benefits. In fact, they go on to say that alcohol abuse will cause far more devastating health problems than benefits.

Over indulgence in alcohol is addictive and can cause a number of health problems including: high blood pressure, obesity and organ damage. If you don't drink, research shows that it's better not to start. If you drink only in moderation, good for you.

If you are trying to lower your blood pressure or lose weight, I would instead suggest both my High Blood Pressure program and my Weight Loss Breeze program, respectively. They are both non-addictive, and all natural with proven results!

Several of you have written to me and saying that you've been diagnosed with a particular circulatory disorder and you are curious if my programs can help. Many times, your diagnosis is ambiguous and treatment options are vague. A lot of you don't know why circulation is so important to the body.

The short answer is oxygen. The organs and tissues of the body need oxygen not only to survive but to perform optimally. Blood is the delivery system for oxygen. If that delivery system is blocked or slowed, the effects can be potentially life threatening - both initially and over time.

When describing circulatory disorders, there are essentially two different groups in which they fall: heart disorders (disorders including the heart and/or its valves and arteries) and blood disorders (disorders affecting red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, enzymes and/or plasma).

The list of heart disorders is massive. Some of the more frequent types of heart disorders are: Heart attack, stroke, coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, heart failure, congenital (from birth) defects, and heart muscle disease.

Warnings of heart disorders can consist of: chest pain, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, poor circulation, hypertension (high blood pressure), hypotension (low blood pressure), tachycardia (pulse over 100 beats per minute) and bradycardia (pulse under 60 beats per minute), nausea, dizziness, numbness in limbs, fainting and perspiration.

Risk factors include: high blood pressure (although mentioned as a symptom above, chronic high blood pressure can, over time damage the heart and other major organs), high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, smoking, lack of physical activity, heredity, stress and excessive alcohol and/or drug use.

Just as there are numerous types of heart disorders, the same can be said for blood disorders. Some of the more common blood disorders include: reduced numbers of white blood cells (leucopenia and its associated diseases), a reduced number of red blood cells (various anemias), reduced platelets (thrombocytopenia and its associated diseases), too many red blood cells (polycythemia) or too many white blood cells.

Also, some blood disorders are due to inadequate or abnormal blood clotting.

Warnings of blood disorders consist of: fatigue, shortness of breath, weight loss, fever, bruising, chest pain, irritability, numbness and/or coldness in hands and feet, headache, pale skin and excessive bleeding .

Origins of blood disorders involve: vitamin deficiency, blood loss, certain chronic illnesses, genetic disorders, side effects of certain drugs, and cancers of the cells.

Because the list of symptoms for each type of circulatory disorder is so vast and they oftentimes overlap, it is important to see your doctor to verify your condition. For some of the circulatory disorders (especially the blood disorders), medication may have to be an option. This can be scary to many (including me) because all medications have side effects, many of them dangerous.

For other conditions, medication may be only one method of treatment and there are frequently, more natural methods of treatment, such as exercise, diet and/or getting your necessary amount of vitamins and minerals. The key is to insist that your doctor explain the benefits and possible problems of all therapies.

If weight loss is your issue and is contributing to other illnesses or disorders, I highly recommend you to try my all natural Weight Loss Breeze program. It's also very effective to raise the oxygen level in the body. Futher more, if high or low blood pressure is your problem. Please try my High Blood pressure program. The breathing and relaxation exercises are simple to do and best of all, effective!

When looking at hypertension prevention, there are many things you are able to do to help prevent this condition in the first place. When regarding the matters you can do to help yourself stay healthy don't forget that for certain individuals these are very necessary changes because there are some people that are more prone to developing high blood pressure than others.

The high blood pressure in the family as well as race and maturity are all elements that add to this condition. Nonetheless, certain alterations in living will assist to avoid hypertension and something you can do is keep from becoming overweight. Physical exercise of some form is advocated and if you are unable to walk even small distances owing to your legs, or have problems with respiration when walking, swimming is a very good exercise.

Reduce your sodium intake by adhering to the instructions on labels because they will tell you the salt content of nearly everything you consume and the less salt you take in the healthier you will be - but lessening your alcohol intake will help as well. The occasional party is not likely to harm if you have two or three drinks, but as an daily situation, this is not recommended. Ensure you have potassium in your food on a day-to-day basis as the suggested amount is 3500 mg. per day.

More tips for hypertension prevention are to look at what you consume. There ought to be fruits, vegetables and dairy products which are low-fat but concentrated fats should be in only small measures. Hypertension causes troubles with the heart and other organs such as: the kidneys if left untreated for too long. Since high blood pressure is acknowledged as the 'silent killer' because of the lack of symptoms, by doing everything you can to prevent it in the first place you will reduce the chance of developing it. The life adjustments you make now can keep you from getting high blood pressure at a later stage.

As well as food and daily exercise adjustments, maintaining stress levels from growing too high for lasting periods of time can also help. Stress is one of the major creators of hypertension and individuals have jobs that are nerve-wracking and while you can't just quit your line of work you can find outlets for the strain you chance upon. Listening to music that calms you is a means of alleviating tension as this is able slow down your pulse rate and reduce blood pressure simultaneously.

Meditation is another way of relieving strain but there is also yoga, which is quoted by experts as being a great means to cut down on stress. Breathing exercises are also advocated for people who suffer very trying lives. With hypertension prevention, the more modes you can think of to lower your blood pressure the better, and the prospect that you will wind up being diagnosed with hypertension later in your life is drastically lessened.

Hypertension Drug Side Effects

Stroke! Heart Attack! Huh? This is what I caught while only kind of paying attention to an commercial the other night. I hit rewind to see what they were talking about. You guessed it. Potential side effects of hypertension drugs.

I regularly receive emails from people who are also desperate to avoid these side effects and others due to the medication.

Many people have provided specific names of the medications they have been prescribed which led to additional research on side effects. While this is not new information, I was rather surprised again to review just how serious the side effects can be.

140 over 90 is Typically Considered High Blood Pressure.

The problem is that it can lead to heart disease, heart attacks, strokes and weakened arteries. Other organs can also be affected such as the eyes, kidneys and brain.

High blood pressure can also lead to insomnia, erectile dysfunction and sight loss. Since the symptoms can be very subtle or even non existent, it has earned the name "silent killer."

What are the Symptoms?

Some symptoms though are noticeable by people. Blurred vision, headaches, sweating and nausea are hard to ignore. You need to actually measure your blood pressure to be sure hypertension is present.

One elevated reading does not necessarily indicate chronic high blood pressure. Regular checks are necessary.

Review of Four Types of Side Effects

You do want to be aware of possible side effects if you are prescribed medication. Four types I'll review today are ACE Inhibitors, Beta Blockers, Calcium Channel Blockers and Diuretics.

Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors help blood vessels relax by blocking the production of angiotensin II. Some commonly prescribed ACE inhibitors include: benazepril (Lotensin), captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), lisinopril (Prinivil, Zestril) ,quinapril (Accupril, Mavik) and ramipril (Altace).

Side affects associated with ACE inhibitors are lingering cough, headaches, chest pains and even kidney disease.

Now let's look at Beta Blockers. These drugs reduce nerve signals to the heart and blood vessels which causes the heart to beat slower reducing blood pressure. Commonly prescribed beta blockers include: acebutolol (Sectral), atenolol (Tenormin), carvedilol (Coreg), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), nadolol (Corgard), penbutolol (Levatol), propranolol (Inderal) and timolol (Blocadren).

Dizziness, impotence, memory loss and fatigue can occur with beta blockers.

Calcium Channel Blockers block calcium from entering heart and blood vessel muscle cells which prevents the blood vessels from constricting and lowers blood pressure. Some of the beta blockers are amlodipine (Norvasc), diltiazem (Cardizem, Dilacor XR) felodipine (Plendil), nifedipine (Adalat, Procardia), and verapamil (Calan, Covera, Isoptin, Verelan).

And the side effects of these can include heartburn, difficulty swallowing, sexual dysfunction and even stroke and heart attack. These are problems the drugs are actually supposed to prevent!

And finally diuretics. The body flushes fluid and sodium which helps to lower blood pressure. Some of the common ones are hydrochlorothiazide, furoseminde and chlorthalidone.

Electrolyte imbalances, impotence, breast enlargement in men (gynecomastia), gout, menstrual irregularities, increased blood sugar, blurred vision, and fever.

It's no surprise that people either want to avoid high blood pressure medication or get off the drugs altogether. I do however urge you to exercise caution by reducing your medication slowly and with your doctor's knowledge.

My all natural High Blood Pressure Program works to eliminate the need for the drugs. You're doctor may be hesitant, but most traditional doctors are. You're proof will be in the numbers.

Introduce the program but continue to take your medication. Continue to monitor your blood pressure. As it begins to lower, see your doctor and discuss lowering your medicine. Eventually you can do this until the drugs are no longer needed.

High Blood Pressure is a Killer

One problem with high blood pressure today is that it is so common and so often talked about that a lot of people do not afford it the respect it deserves. The simple fact is that high blood pressure, or hypertension (to give it its medical name), is a killer and needs to be treated as such.

A lot of doctors and researchers have spent considerable time, money and effort attempting to describe precisely what a true definition of high blood pressure is.

Over the years there have been numerous human population studies performed on this topic which have given the doctors and scientists a very wide range of blood pressure values to work with. However the results are frequently skewed and vary from country to country and even from district to district within a particular country. Thus, it has been agreed that the definition of high blood pressure can only be arrived at as a result of constant observation and experimentation.

Normal Blood Pressure

Normal blood pressure is seen today much like normal body weight in that the defining level is that which is associated with the greatest projected life expectancy. This is the pressure at which the heart and other important elements of the body like the circulatory system can function under optimum conditions without the risk of heart disease and other associated conditions.

The Difference Between Systolic and Diastolic

Of course there are a number of other considerations to be taken into account when defining high blood pressure and some of these have to be excluded. For example, If a healthy person gets then their systolic (or pumping) blood pressure will rise by perhaps as much as fifty percent because their blood flow increases in response to extreme emotional excitement or energetic activity. But it will not remain high for very long and once the level of excitement subsides your blood pressure also returns to normal.

In addition to a systolic (pumping) pressure you also have a diastolic (resting) pressure which is the more important of the two and is an excellent guide in ascertaining whether a high reading is a false positive. The reason why the diastolic pressure is important is because it reveals the state of your arteries and a high reading may mean that the arteries are constricted and not allowing the free flow of blood.

It is very important to know that high blood pressure is not in itself a disease but is a key criterion by which doctors can diagnose other conditions.

Finally, it is also necessary to realize that high blood pressure cannot be cured but that it can be very effectively controlled.

The bad thing about having high blood pressure is there are really no symptoms that you can pinpoint and say, "This is a symptom of high blood pressure. There is a chance for a person to have high blood pressure. High Blood Pressure some are unaware for a while Blood pressure may be linked to the occasional headache, however, there are also several additional causes that could be held responsible.

Live too long with HBP and your internal organs will be damaged and you may not know, until it's too late to reverse it. For this reason, blood pressure should be checked regularly whether you have high blood pressure or not.

When high blood pressure is not regularly monitored, a person may experience headaches, breathing difficulty, vomiting, and gets easily fatigued.

Many kidney and heart problems have been found to be caused by high blood pressure. These are two vital organs that damage can affect adversely. Your heart can succumb to coronary heart disease. Chronic HBP can cause kidney failure.

Heart failure can occur, meaning your heart size increased or your heart is not able to pump enough blood through your body. Aneurysms, a bulge that forms in the walls of an artery, can form in the bodies main artery, in the brain, or in the legs.

The vessels taking blood to your heart can actually constrict, becoming narrower in diameter. This will not allow the blood to flow through and get to the other organs this can create someone to have heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure, and possible loss of limbs. Kidney failure can be caused by narrowing of the blood vessels. Blindness can be caused, in a worst case scenario, by blood vessels bursting in your eyes.

In some cases, brain swelling can result from high blood pressure, if the case is severe enough. This can result in a number of problems including seizures and coma. The name for this is hypertensive encephalopathy.

The walls of the heart will thicken causing the heart to get larger when the blood pressure goes above 140/90. This is a result of the surplus of work it must do in order to pump blood throughout the rest of your body. Because of this the heart chamber will not get expanded, instead it pumps the heart to work hard. Heart murmurs may be caused by this.

Checking your blood pressure is extremely important it cannot be pointed out enough as stated before there are no symptoms and before you know it major internal organs are messed up in the long term untreated high blood pressure. This is the reason why HBP was given the name the 'silent killer.'High blood pressure.

Someone asked me recently about depression treatment. He purchased the High Blood Pressure Program and jokingly asked if he could be depressed from it.

Research does reflect a link between the two. Both ideas have been studied; hypertension leading to depression as well as depression leading to high blood pressure.

First, we'll look at depression as the initial problem. Research shows that people who suffer long term depression are two to three times as likely to also develop hypertension.

People who suffer from depression tend to practice poor eating habits and do not necessarily tend to their health properly (including monitoring high blood pressure.)

However, surprisingly, even the people involved in the study who did not engage in poor eating habits, smoking etc. also suffered from high blood pressure.

Therefore, it is thought that hormonal changes due to the long term depression may be a factor in the increased blood pressure.

Medications for depression can also lead to a small but long term increase to blood pressure.

Given these factors, there is a link between depression and high blood pressure.

High Blood Pressure as the primary with depression resulting:

The link here tends to be the result of the high blood pressure medication. Many side effects including depression occur with those medicines.

Here again, we see that in the effort to solve one issue, another is created.

In addition to the medicinal link, a person may also experience anxiety just knowing that they are suffering from a condition such as hypertension.

Stress shows up again and again as at least a contributor if not the cause of many problems. It really is no surprise that hypertension and depression can also result from it.

Some things that still provide relief in lowering blood pressure regardless of the cause:

Avoid drinking. Many people see an increase in blood pressure after just one or two drinks.

Do not smoke. Smoking create many problems including increased blood pressure.

Eat properly. The body requires good nutrition to function well. This can also assist with weight control.

Two other options are my all natural High Blood Pressure Program and Weight Loss Breeze Program. Both have amazing results.

People will oftentimes, write to me and tell me how their lives have been helped by using my programs. Not only physical improvement but also mentally. For me, this is what makes what I do truly enjoyable.

It's refreshing to be able to interact with customers personally.

One question which has been repeatedly asked by my customers is: Can I stop taking hypertension medicine in a natural way - using only this program.

In a sentence, yes, most people can get off hypertension medicine and use only a natural program.

The focus should be to take it slow and always consult your doctor before you attempt to stop taking prescribed medicine.

Begin using my program. Record your blood pressure readings daily. As the blood pressure drops, see your doctor and ask him or her about reducing your prescription.

Don't be alarmed if your doctor isn't as excited about a natural remedy as you are. Many are skeptical of remedies which don't involve medicine. Just keep recording your blood pressure as you go and you will have proof enough, even for your doctor.

Stay on the program and take note of your continued lowered blood pressure. Again, see your doctor about reducing, yet again, your medication.

As you use the program and take less medicine, you should be able to consult with your doctor and remove the medicine for hypertension, altogether.

The first exercise will take you through rhythmical walking. Your brain and emotions will begin to relax and allow you to focus better.

The second exercise allows for finding negative or anxious feelings and get rid of them in a natural, calm way.

In the third exercise, you will be led through a total body relaxation. This simple exercise is extremely effective.

Using these exercises in combination has proven results, in less than even a week! Within one week, over 75 percent of my customers reduced their blood pressure and almost 90 percent were able to reduce their blood pressure within a month.

If I have one vice in my otherwise healthy lifestyle, it's my large cup of great coffee, everyday. Not one for wanting to own "vices," I am curious as to why coffee, in moderation, is considered to be one.

This was highlighted the other day while having breakfast with a friend. She told me how "lucky" I am to be able to have my coffee every day. She said she couldn't drink coffee anymore due to high blood pressure. Her doctor advised her that this could contribute to her high blood pressure.

Watch out? My friend was telling me this quite literally, as she was exhaling cigarette smoke. Did her doctor mention that this behavior is far more than a contributor to high blood pressure.

Did the doctor actually state that more than anything, my friend's overindulgence in food, smoking and sometimes alcohol largely caused her hypertension but she only heard "coffee?" Hard to know but I was curious, why did the doctor even list coffee as a contributor?

As of this post, there have been no studies to support evidence that there is a link between drinking coffee and hypertension.

Some studies have shown that drinking coffee does raise one's blood pressure slightly, but only temporarily. In fact, these same studies have shown that over time, this slight increase in blood pressure is reduced.

These same studies also admit that when drinking coffee on a regular basis, this temporary increase in blood pressure dissipates.

So why even mention coffee and hypertension? What studies have shown is that coffee can often times partner certain unhealthy behaviors - smoking and over eating.

Does this mean that coffee causes hypertension? No - it is not coffee's fault that some people cannot drink a cup of coffee without partnering it with cigarettes and over eating.

So why do we read so many stories of people who gave up drinking coffee and suddenly, there was a marked decrease in blood pressure. These stories tend to focus on what coffee was doing to their high blood pressure, not the real culprits like cigarettes and obesity.

Based on evidence, I do not believe that drinking a cup of coffee, even every day will cause high blood pressure. If I believed that, I wouldn't drink it myself.

If you are suffering from hypertension, I'd like to recommend my High Blood Pressure Program. This is a completely natural remedy and while simple, it has proven, amazing results.

Additionally, I suggest my Weight Loss Breeze Program if you suffer from this condition as well.
